Claiming the listing, the first drafted quote, the first payment landing. What actually happens, day by day.

If you run a small trade business, every new platform sounds the same and you have heard it before. So here is the boring version: what actually happens in the first week, in order.
Day one: claiming
Most electricians who join are already listed. We built the directory from public information so that customers searching here find real local businesses instead of an empty page. That means your name, your area and roughly what you do are probably already there, and possibly a bit wrong.
Claiming takes about two minutes, and the main thing it does is make the listing yours to correct. You get the tick next to your name that unclaimed listings don't have, and requests start reaching you instead of nobody.
Day one, still: the Stripe bit
This is the twenty-minute part, and the part people put off. You need your IRD number, your bank account and a photo ID, because Stripe has to run the identity checks the law requires before anyone can take card payments.
Do it on day one anyway. Everything else works without it, but you cannot be paid without it, and the week is more interesting if you can be.
What you'll see in the app
The setup list. It keeps your place if you stop halfway.
Day two: your rates
Your call-out fee and your hourly rate. Two numbers, thirty seconds, and they are the reason the rest of the week works. Your agent drafts quotes from them, so what goes out to a customer is priced the way you would have priced it.
Day three: the first request
It arrives in your chat with the customer's answers already on it. Where the job is, how urgent it is, what they think is wrong, roughly what they expect to spend. The draft quote is sitting underneath.

A real request, with the asking already done.
The thing to remember is that the draft is only a draft. Change the hours, change the rate, add a note saying you would want to look at it first. Nothing goes out in your name until you send it.
Day four: they accept
The customer picks one of the times you offered, and it becomes a booking. You didn't sort a time out over six text messages, which is the small thing that saves the most hours over a month.

Day six: getting paid
You do the job and mark it finished. That is what raises the invoice. Not before, which is deliberate: nobody is asked to pay for work that hasn't happened.
The customer pays by card or by bank transfer. Either way the money comes to you. A card payment goes into your Stripe account as it is processed, and a bank transfer goes straight into your bank. The platform fee is 1% of your price with no minimum, so a small callout costs you cents, instead of the flat charge that makes small jobs not worth taking elsewhere.
What it costs if the week goes badly
Nothing. No monthly fee, no listing fee, and nothing per lead. Quote five jobs, win none of them, and you are billed nothing at all. That is, in fairness, the only claim on this page you can check by doing nothing and seeing what happens.
